This is an Apophysis v2.18 beta fractal rendered with a 9th order forced rotational symmetry. The lavender/purple gradient used was one made up of the colors from *deloulark's "Turbulent" using Apophysis's 'smooth palette' feature. Photoshop was used to give the central sphere its look and then add a signature and border.

Thanks...I like playing around with the 'sphere' effect. I've done it with a lot of my 'julia' renders in the other fractal applications that I use, too. I think I've done around 35-40 of them so far...split between the 5 applications. (Kaos, Sterling, Iterations, TieraZon and Apophysis)
Thanks for the , glad you like it.. If you would like to check out more of my spheres, I have a series of them done with each of the other fractal applications that I use in my gallery. If you set the view to "List" the majority of them begin at about 75 and go through 120 on the first page and then the first 10 or so of the second 120 images in the list. All of the images have "Sphere" in the title preceded by the name of the fractal type. Kaos, Sterling, Itiera, TieraZon, etc. I think there is around 35 - 40 of them.
Thanks, Lorri... This Apophysis is getting to be fun as I use it more... I used *deloulark's Turbulent that she posted Tuesday for the color gradient on this one... I like doing the spheres with the fractal images...
