This began as one of my old flames, a sunflower whose parameters I plugged into Apophysis 2.06c 3D Hack, which didn't reproduce quite the same image. But, as I rotated through the flame, spiralling bunches of ''daisies'' popped out. I both rotated the flame to produce separation of the bunches and then fiddled around with the "Pitch" and "perspective" values. I only used the lower half of the spiralling 'daisies' in the collage. The foliage was made up of another older flame that looked like a small leafy branch and placed end to end to produce the 'stems' for the flowers. These were layered over a background with a radial gradient which supplied the ''sun'' in Photoshop, where I also added the 'frame' and 'signature'.
Guess I'm already thinking spring as I look out at a white landscape following last yesterday's snow, and snow rain mix this morning, and waiting for the promised 50ºF promised by the weather forecasters today. The birds at the feeder look a bit cold, sliding around the icy patio table's surface as they land...LOL
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

I like the word 'indolence'. It makes my laziness seem classy.
