Day Lily - colored

This began as a copyright free piece of clip art from Dover Publications' free samples [link] that Dover sends out weekly to newsletter subscribers. They have books of copyright free clip art reproduced from artwork of the last two centuries and more of printed materials that one can buy and use as wished.
This was part of their April freebies of Easter/spring themed clip art themes. This line art drawing was colored using the Photoshop "Styles Palette'' to 'color' each of the cells of the picture of the Lily flowers and buds. The background was one of the styles buttons which was given semi transparency which allowed its interior pattern overlay to come through as a 'texture' pattern. Being the background color was a golden yellow, and the "styles button'' blue, the result was the greenery of the texture pattern.
