Flower Faery - colored

This is a colored version of the drawing,''oOo Blossom Fairy oOo''[link] by [link] done in Photoshop using color backgrounds and the 'styles palette' to give portions a 3-dimesional look. The background was a texture overlay that I made from a photograph of maple leaves in their fall colors color-shifted to green. Each colored section was selected and layered separately to achieve the uniform embossing and bevelling seen here. This is quite a shift from my normal artworks, but it made for a bit of regression to the ol' coloring book but with modern tools instead of crayons. The li'l "flower pixie'' likes to blend in with the foliage with her 'sky-earth' style of stockings and her moss treated hair.
