This collage is entirely made up of Apophysis 2.02 renderings as PNG transparencies. The only minimal editing was used to resize some of the fractal flames to fit the perspective of the scene and to erase some of the extraneous parts. The walls and road were made up of a flame that resembled stacked blocks or bricks. Portions of this flame were added end to end to form the wall and rotated vertical for the road. These were doubled and slid sideways to fill the openings between, to make them a bit more solid. The images were skewed slightly to give the perspective of depth and distance. No blending was used in layering these together....just a flattening of all the layers when saving the image. (An exception was made in that I darkened the 'road' a bit so it didn't look so much like brick or blocks.) The Photoshop background used a sky-land gradient and also supplied the 'green grass' behind the 'doubled stone walls'. :D
Edit: I thickened the 'wall' a bit with an additional layer...as the first looked a bit blurred.
Edit 2: I did a bit of landscaping to the yard, adding some shrubs and flowers. And I added a fractal 'moon' that's peeking from behind the clouds. I also added a few fractal birds and a few more trees on the hills.
Edit 3: Thanks to a "mountain" flame that ~feelingblue sent me to play with, I also found an additional "mountain" flame in my collection that I had forgotten about. With a bit of editing, I added this into the background for this edit.
This is of suitable size for use as a wallpaper.

Wonderfull ! And in your comments i find similar words what i always say - fractals are all around us, probably we are (or can be described by) fractals. Last week i saw the example in the raindrop on leaf - colors, lines in those reflections totally as in basic formulaes..
Merry Christmass !
Michal.

Glad you like it.. It was one of those pieces that I just couldn't leave along...I must have changed it a half dozen times in the first week that I posted it. It seemed that I just had to "add one more piece" ...LOL I lost track of how many layers or pieces that went into that collage. It's amazing how many things in nature can be reflected in fractal imagery. :D

lol. Well you did a superb job, all that hard work is well reflected in how wonderful it looks <3 And you know, fractals are found all over nature as well, in clouds, snow flakes, crystals, mountain ranges, lightning, etc. Fractals are an amazing thing.

That they are...and I've even used them in some of my collages for clouds...in fact, I think I've used them in all of the ways that you mentioned at one time or another. :D
