This is an Apophysis 2.19beta fractal from a batch using :devbataruco:'s "rotational batch script' with a random bilateral symmetry setting, followed by ~muetze's "spiral batch script" and then a number of mutations...uncounted...before finding this image. No editing was done other than the addition of the border and my signature. :D
This one reminded me of a bowl in which incense is burning, with the scented smoke rising from it....:D
This is also suitable for use as a wallpaper...its size being 1024x768.

That is an incredible flame. From your description it sounds as if you go about it in a very scientific way. But do you have fun doing it?? =D

No, it's not very scientific...just one of those ''happy accidents'' that I get now and then to come up with the flames. I like to include in the description what I do with a piece because in the past, I used to get lots of questions as to how I did something. So, I started adding that to the description for a lot of those with the questions. And, it gives the other users ideas for their flames.....just like I got ideas from other fractalers. :D It's a learning process all around. :D Like my one slogan says "Fractals Iz Fun!!" LOL I'm always intrigued with what I find hiding in the fractals, to the point that I use them in creating some of my landscape collages. :D

Well, they're damn good 'happy accidents'. =D Well, that's nice that you do explain. I've had people ask what a fractal is...cause they didn't have a clue. Oh, well, a few years ago I didn't know what one was...now I sit here fractalizing my brains out. Never a dull moment. Always find something new. Can't tell we're addicted or anything, can ya? =D

LOL Yup....it doesn't take long to get hooked on them. There were only a few of us doing fractals when I first joined DevART, and recieved lots of questions about them. That's when I started putting the info into each of the descriptions and links to the applications in my journal. Now there are a mess of us fractalers..LOL It's an epidemic...infectious, as you may well have noticed, too. :D I spent 3 months in a nursing home without my computer and about went nuts without it and my fractals, not to mention all my email friends....:D

Yes, I agree that there are a lot of people doing them now. It's an art form that let's you be very artistic without necessarily having all the artistic abilities required for other forms of art. And it can be very addictive once you start. :)

No problem :) I really love the gold against the blue in this piece.

It's a color combo that I really like, too. I guess things like this make all my playing with Apophysis worth it...:D There's always a surprise in there somewhere...:)
