Stellar Gateway

This Apophysis 2.05 Z-plus Beta2 rendering began as a heart batch of flames. This is another of the series using ~etomchek's "DragonEgg" script [link] and Tom Desloges' "Planetoid Script" [link] which added the veils and 'ring' shape to the sphere. These were run alternately, about 5 times each before reaching this image. This piece was tweaked slightly with the rotation script and gradients, as well as enlarged slightly. Lowering the GAMMA setting removed a lot of the veiling that usually surrounds the "dragonegg-planetoid" renderings and sharpened the image a bit. Then, I added my "Nebula - Birthplace of Stars" [link] as a background layer which supplied more 'stars' in the scene & through the 'gate' to the DragonEgg Worlds. Another tweak was a slight 'flattening' of the spherical shape using the "Post Transform" option in the edit window and skewed the 'final transform' triangle slightly to make the spheres more oval. The framing and signature were then added in Photoshop.
This is of a size suitable for use as a wallpaper, too.
